My role is slightly different as I am home based. I have the flexibility of searching for your holiday needs outside the conventional office hours.
Everyone calls me Steph!! I am married to Chris and have a Son called Alfie. I am very much a family person and love nothing more than all get together. I also love a good party especially ones that involve alcohol. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, I’d say I was bubbly, confident and sociable.
Where’s your favourite holiday destination? Chris proposed at the top on the CN Tower in Toronto…so its definitely a firm favourite
I have a hidden talent of singing on Karaoke…some would say badly but I think I’m the next Beyoncé!
If I could be a Super-Hero for a day I think I would be ‘Wonder-Woman’ I think doing that fast twirl would be amazing.
After leaving school at the age of 15 I started my apprenticeship with an independent travel agent in crewe , and it was from this that my passion for travel grew. It was also during these early years that I met and started working with Kay .
During my 25 years in the travel industry I worked my way up the ladder and became the manager of the Thomas Cook store in Nantwich . As you can imagine during these years I have seen many changes , however what has not changed is the desire for people to escape the rain here and head to the sun !!
Not only do I love sending people on holiday , but I love going on holiday with my husband Tony . I especially love the bright lights of Las Vegas . Believe me there is far more to Las Vegas than the casino’s . The shopping is even better than New York!!(another favourite place of mine) . However after such an action packed place I love nothing more than a relaxing villa holiday with friends in the Algarve.
I am actually thinking that I should ask for a discount on my council tax as I seem to be on holiday that often!!
I have worked in travel since I was a teenager and always loved my job. I took a break from travel to try something new…working in an opticians. As much I loved working with the customers and the optical industry I missed working in travel so I came back and here I am!!!!
I’ve been to lots of places but my favourite included Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, Morocco because it was a terrific learning how people from different cultures live…I think my most favourite place was Venice, I felt there was nowhere else quite like it! Oh and I like to Cruise… I think it would be fair to say I happy when I’m on holiday!!
I have 2 grown up children…I know I don’t look old enough!! Adrienne says laughing.
My favourite word is ‘Love’ and I try and include it in every sentence!!
I started working with a small independent travel agency in Northwich when I was 17 and then quickly realised that this was the job for me. I loved organising peoples travel arrangements and chatting about all the exciting things that they would be doing on their trips.
I moved to work at Co-op Travel a few years later and became the manager at the Northwich store in 2002. I have been to some wonderful places during my career but one of my favourite places has to be Australia. I live in Northwich with my husband Paul and two boys Max and Sam. We love to holiday in Greece and would love to visit all the islands at least once.
Having lived in Northwich all my life and working here since I was a teenager I am very proud that Kay and I have our own business in town and look forward to helping the people in the community and further a field with all their travel needs.
My travel career started when I managed to get a job as a Saturday girl for a local travel agent and stamped brochures all day. So much has changed since the 1980s, most of the bookings were done over the phone with only a few companies booking on the computer! I did an apprenticeship and then progressed to manage my very own shop working at Co-op Travel.
I have lots of favourite holidays, I love Sunbathing and skiing but I really enjoy a city break too. I think as long as its somewhere away from home I’m quite easily pleased! I used to go on lots of Ski holidays when I was younger….which is where I met my Husband, Adam, on the piste in Austria! We now have two children, Nicole & Sophie and a chocolate Labrador called Dino.
